Your child came home today with an envelope for class picture money.  Class pictures will be on Tuesday, May 2nd.  Picture money is due by May 5th.

They also received a field trip permission form.  Please select if your child will need a sack lunch, sign the form, and send your child’s $5 by May 3rd.

Their last book order of the year is due by May 4th.

They also have a reminder note about voting in the school bond election.

We are also currently having a Read-a-thon fundraiser.  Our class has currently raised $130.  Thank you for your donations!  This will go on until May 12th.

We have been working hard learning all about helping our environment through recycling, reducing, and reusing our things.  The students worked in groups to create advertisements to promote recycling, reducing, and reusing.

Caden, Gavin, and Jackson are teaching you how to reduce.

Merritt, Ariana, and Kinzlee made a recycling skit.

Markham, Jacob, Caleb, and Jalen made a Sock Puppet Show.

Kinzlee, Addisen, and Alison created a Sock Puppet Show.

Peyton, Adelyn, Teacan, Connor, and Kadin created a recycling game show.

The green page is a permission slip for your child to go on the field trip to Penick Park this Friday.  Please sign and return this as soon as possible.

Parents,
Tomorrow will be a very busy day.  We have our second grade Seussical in the morning at 9:00.  Please send your child to school dressed for the program.  If you would like them to change clothes before the party, please send them some clothes, shoes, etc.

Our party will begin at 12:00.  Parents can begin hiding eggs and setting up the room at 11:30.  Thank you so much for your willingness to help with this!  If you did not sign up to help and would like to, please feel welcome to do so.

We will not have school on Friday, the 14th, or Monday, the 17th.  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!
